Walking

This video was taken quickly. She was walking around so I grabbed the camera and tried to get the best footage I could. The lighting isn't the best and she has no pants on (she just got done eating dinner and we had a spill)! Her walking skills are coming along and she looks very cute while doing it!

We are officially mobile!!

Kaylyn has been cruising around the furniture since she learned to crawl at 6 1/2 months. At about 7 months she would take steps holding our hands and at 8 1/2 months she would walk behind her car and take steps from me to Jeramie. Last week she started standing her self up in the middle of the room and taking a couple steps before she would fall. She turned 10 months old on Saturday and last night she would stand up and walk all the way around the room. She would even stop and stand and then continue to walk. We had our friends Kenny and Meggin over and we were all getting a good laugh. She was all over the place and doing so good!!! I think she figured out the walking thing is way better than the crawling thing. I am getting her some squeaky shoes for Christmas so we can hear her every move!!! I know I will probably regret being excited for her being so moblie but it is an exciting milestone in her life and we are so proud!! :)

Halloween Part 1

I have just a couple of pictures from my camera of Kaylyn. Jeramie's mom has more on hers so when I get those I will post them. It was hard to get pictures of her she only wore her costume for about 30 minutes and then she was done. She looked very cute in her little costume!!!

I know I am a horrible blogger and I haven't been on in almost 2 months. I will post some pictures and video soon. Since my last post Kaylyn has learned to crawl, stand up holding on to anything she can, cut her 2 bottom teeth, and waves bye! What a month of milestones!! Don't worry I will get proof of all her new skills up ASAP!

Back to School :(

Today I am officially back to working full time. I have had a great summer with Kaylyn! I can't believe how much she has changed and grown this summer. She is a great little girl and I don't think we could ask for anything better. She's my little buddy and I will miss her everyday. I know she is in good hands with Grandma, but I will still count the hours everyday until I get to pick her up!!!

There is only one good thing that comes towards the end of August in our house...Football season!!! Here is our little fan converted already :)

Every year for our wedding anniversary we go to the zoo. We started that tradtion our very first anniversary and have made it our special little tradition. This year we got to take Kaylyn on her very first trip to the zoo for our 3rd anniversary!!! Our friends Kenny, Meggin came with us. As well as Kenny's brother Keith and his little boy Ryan who is 5. Even though it was about 100 degrees it was the best trip to date!

After discovering Kaylyn's love of fireworks we took her to Weber State's annual 24th of July fieworks. We had a picnic with Mike and Kelsea and hung out for a bit before the show began. Kaylyn fell asleep before the show started but woke up to enjoy them!

Fourth Of July

Fourth of July is my favorite holiday. It is the only holiday that I get to drag Jeramie around whether he likes it or not!! :) We went to our friend Kenny's parents house for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks. It was here that we discovered Kaylyn's love of fireworks. We were witnesses to her first laugh that night! I must say it is very cute and hasn't stopped since!!

We took Kaylyn swimming for the first time yesterday. At first she loved it and then she didn't so much! I dont' know if it was the combination of being in water with clothes on (not like the bath) or that it was just about nap time. However she looked very cute and well let's face it that is really all that matters!!! She loves her sunglasses if we took them off she cried this could be the beginning of a very expensive sunglass habit! There will be many more swim days to come!!

4 Months Old

We visited the doctor yesterday for Kaylyn's 4 month well baby check up. Everything is great she is perfectly healthy. She weighs 13lbs. 6oz. and is now 25 inches long. She is in the 60th percentile for her weight, the 80th for her length and the 70th for her head circumference (she has a big brain!) We are very happy that she is doing so well and can't believe how fast she is growing! The doctor told us that she is now old enough to eat any of the baby food in stage 1. So of course we tried some. We chose green beans to start out with. As you can see from the pictures that I took they didn't go over very well. I don't know what was more suprising the taste of the green beans or that it wasn't her bottle. Well, we will keep it up because she loves to eat and I am sure they will catch on!

Jeramie had the day off yesterday so we took our little darling to get her ears pierced. It is something that we have wanted to do for some time now I think in the back of our minds we dreaded because we didn't want to see her cry. We went to a very nice place where the lady was really good with Kaylyn and very gentle. It turned out really good. She cried for a second which was so sad but after she was fine and they don't seem to hurt her at all now. She looks so cute!!!! Now maybe no one will ask me how old my little boy is!!!

Our Version of Nap Time

Kaylyn is a cat napper 10 minutes here and (maybe random days) an hour or two there. I can't really complain too much because she sleeps about 12 hours a night. Today is the first day she gets to be home with me for the summer this is how nap time went today. She's figured out she can make noise and ever since she lets it out!! She takes after her dad with her gift to talk and the level at which she does it. She's the best!!! I wouldn't have it any other way:)

Yesterday we had Grandpa Dennis bless Kaylyn. We had some friends and family there with us to celebrate her big day. We all had a great time but wished that more family could be there with us. We did have a good day and she looked very pretty in her dress that Grandma Mary Beth gave her!

Kaylyn 3 months old...and rolling over!!

I was on the phone with my mom and turned around to where Kaylyn was laying on her blanket. It took me a minute to realize she was on her belly and not her back like I left her. I proceeded to freak out and hang up with my mom to capture it on video for Jeramie (he was at work). Of course she wouldn't do it again for about 30 minutes. Now she does it every chance she gets. I have a feeling this is the beginning to me chasing her around!!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up!!!

I took (by myself) Kaylyn on her first airplane ride home to California to visit my family. This was the first time my dad, step mom, brother, and sisters were going to see her. My step mom Patti planned a big birthday party for my dad's 60th birthday. The whole family was able to be there to celebrate. I had a great time and Kaylyn did so great on the plane and during the weekend! The trip was definitely too short and I hope that I can get back out there soon!

Supercross-Salt Lake City

We went and watched the Salt Lake Supercross race 2 weekends ago. It was a little cold and rainy but we had a great time. We had the perfect seats! Kaylyn had her first overnight and Grandma and Grandpa's house. Maybe she can come next year.

Layton Cylcle 450 Shootout

Jeramie's work put on an event at the race track and I went to help out. It was awesome weather (I have the sweet sunburn to prove it) and they had a great turnout. Jeramie was the MC of the event. What a perfect job for him (he even somehow got a hold of a microphone)!! I was very proud he did a great job. We had a lot of fun; well the most we could have without Kaylyn! She stayed at Grandma's house. I think 2 months old is too young to make her debut at the track. I am sure she will be there soon especially if Jeramie has his way!!

I can't believe how fast times flies. She is getting bigger everyday! She is holding her head up, talks to us non stop and is all smiles. She is such a good baby and we couldn't be happier!!

For Jeramie's birthday we went out to dinner with some of our friends to McGrath's. We had a lot of fun and even got to embarass Jeramie a little what a great night!!
