California-Kaylyn's 1st Birthday!

We spent President's day weekend in California with my parents for Kaylyn's birthday. The weather was so awesome I just tried to soak up as much warmth as possible to store until we warm up here :( My dad took us to the Winternational race this weekend that was so much fun I have never seen anything as fast as some of those cars were it was amazing. My mom got to spend the whole day while we were at the race with Kaylyn. Sunday was Kaylyn's birthday party my parents went all out and it was a blast. Poor Kaylyn woke up that day with a stomach bug and we had to work the events of the party around her we all felt so bad, but she was such a trooper you would never know she was sick by the look on her face while she ate her cake and openend her presents. The next day we planned to spend some time down by the beach because it was around 80 degrees but the plan came to an end when I realized Kaylyn had shared her stomach bug with me. My poor family hung out all day while I tried to sleep it off before I had to get on the plane that night. At the airport Jeramie discovered he wasn't feeling well and by the time we landed he had it too :( We share really well in our family! (My mom ended up sick also.) Even though it ended kind of rough we all had a great time and we wouldn't have wanted to spend Kaylyn's 1st birthday any other way! Thanks to my parents for the weekend it was awesome, we can't wait to visit again!

Mmm...cookies!

Kaylyn is just like her parents...addicted to sweets! This is our little darling after eating an oreo cookie. Let's just say she needed a bath after all was said and done. I can't believe she is almost a year old!
